1 Barakoo be moo le ye
meŋ buka taama niŋ moo kuruŋolu la yaamaroo la,
waraŋ ka bula junubelaalu la siloo nooma,
waraŋ ka tara siiriŋ ñaawalilaalu kono.
2 Bari a ye Yaawe* la karandiroo kanu le,
aduŋ a ka i miira a la le suutoo niŋ tiloo.
3 Ate ka munta le ko,
yiroo meŋ tututa woyoo daala.
A ka diŋ a diŋ waatoo la le,
aduŋ a jamboolu buka jaa.
Ate ye meŋ-wo-meŋ ke,
a ka ñaatotaa soto jee le.

4 Bari moo kuruŋolu maŋ tara wo ñaama.
Ì ka munta le ko fuufulewo, foñoo ka meŋ tindi.
5 Wo kamma la, junubelaalu te boloo la kiitiyo to,
sako ì si tara Alla la moolu la kafoo kono.
6 Kaatu Yaawe ka moo tilindiŋolu la siloo kanta le,
bari moo kuruŋolu la siloo be kasaara la le.

True Happiness
1 Happy are those
who reject the advice of evil people,
who do not follow the example of sinners
or join those who have no use for God.
2 Instead, they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord,
and they study it day and night.
3 They are like trees that grow beside a stream,
that bear fruit at the right time,
and whose leaves do not dry up.
They succeed in everything they do.

4 But evil people are not like this at all;
they are like straw that the wind blows away.
5 Sinners will be condemned by God
and kept apart from God's own people.
6 The righteous are guided and protected by the Lord,
but the evil are on the way to their doom.
