Le rouleau volant et l’épha
V. 1-4: cf. Éz 2:9, Éz 10. Mal 3:5.1 Je levai de nouveau les yeux et je regardai, et voici, il y avait un rouleau qui volait. 2 Il me dit: Que vois-tu? Je répondis: Je vois un rouleau qui vole; il a vingt coudées de longueur, et dix coudées de largeur. 3 Et il me dit: C’est la malédiction qui se répand sur tout le pays; car selon elle tout voleur sera chassé d’ici, et selon elle tout parjure sera chassé d’ici. 4 Je la répands, dit l’Éternel des armées, afin qu’elle entre dans la maison du voleur et de celui qui jure faussement en mon nom, afin qu’elle y établisse sa demeure, et qu’elle la consume avec le bois et les pierres.
V. 5-11: cf. Am 2:6Am 5:11, Am 12Am 8:4-6. 1 Ti 6:9, 1 10.5 L’ange qui parlait avec moi s’avança, et il me dit: Lève les yeux, et regarde ce qui sort là. 6 Je répondis: Qu’est-ce? Et il dit: C’est l’épha qui sort. Il ajouta: C’est leur iniquité dans tout le pays. 7 Et voici, une masse de plomb s’éleva, et il y avait une femme assise au milieu de l’épha. 8 Il dit: C’est l’iniquité. Et il la repoussa dans l’épha, et il jeta sur l’ouverture la masse de plomb. 9 Je levai les yeux et je regardai, et voici, deux femmes parurent. Le vent soufflait dans leurs ailes; elles avaient des ailes comme celles de la cigogne. Elles enlevèrent l’épha entre la terre et le ciel. 10 Je dis à l’ange qui parlait avec moi: Où emportent-elles l’épha? 11 Il me répondit: Elles vont lui bâtir une maison dans le pays de Schinear; et quand elle sera prête, il sera déposé là dans son lieu.
The Vision of the Flying Scroll
1 I looked again, and this time I saw a scroll flying through the air. 2 The angel asked me what I saw. I answered, “A scroll flying through the air; it is thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide.”
3 Then he said to me, “On it is written the curse that is to go out over the whole land. On one side of the scroll it says that every thief will be removed from the land; and on the other side it says that everyone who tells lies under oath will also be taken away. 4 The Lord Almighty says that he will send this curse out, and it will enter the house of every thief and the house of everyone who tells lies under oath. It will remain in their houses and leave them in ruins.”
The Vision of the Woman in the Basket
5 The angel appeared again and said, “Look! Something else is coming!”
6 “What is it?” I asked.
He replied, “It is a basket, and it stands for the sin of the whole land.”
7 The basket had a lid made of lead. As I watched, the lid was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman!
8 The angel said, “This represents wickedness.” Then he pushed her down into the basket and put the lid back down. 9 I looked up and saw two women flying toward me with powerful wings like those of a stork. They picked up the basket and flew off with it.
10 I asked the angel, “Where are they taking it?”
11 He answered, “To Babylonia, where they will build a temple for it. When the temple is finished, the basket will be placed there to be worshiped.”
